Nitro II Sprint Car League
Section A: League Rules 1. All participants are to refrain from badmouthing, finger pointing, and complaining about other racers during race sessions, or on public boards. If you feel you have a legitimate complaint, put it in e-mail form after that nights races are completed an mail it to me. All complaints and/or suggestions will remain confidential. 2. All participants not on the front row should refrain from going as soon as the green flag drops, you should wait until the cars directly in front of you have accelerated well enough ahead of you that you won't run over them. 3. Everyone should drive in as clean of a manner that is possible. Just because someone is slower than you, doesn't give you the right to run over them. 4. If for some reason you should get disconnected from your ISP, we will give you 5 minutes to return, and if it happens during a race you will be scored as a DNF, we will not re-run a race. If it takes longer than 5 minutes you may continue to race, and you will be awarded last place points for any events that you did not start. 5. If you must leave for any reason, and you return it is your responsibility to first point out that you must exit, and second what your points need to be updated.. 6. All DNF's will be scored as listed in Race Format below. 7. Everyone should continue to race after the checker has come out, until the game stops. The reason is lapped traffic is still racing for posistion and if you stop you will be in their way. 8. If you start on the outside row, you need to run the outside for the first lap, and if you start on the inside row you need to run the inside row for the first lap.
Section B: Race Format Points season tracks - "Muskogee Three", Pike County II, and Topgun Alley (Nitro) Race night will be Thursdays, and the heats will begin at 9:15 Central. We will meet in the chatroom on the private page @ 9:00 Central. In all events, the Heat, "C", "B", and "A" Mains, race line ups will be based on points average with higher points average starting on the back. The exception is our first race, were the heats will be lined up by luck of the draw, and all features line ups will be as qualified. If a member has no points average after the first points race, they will start scratch for their entire first event, as if they had the highest points average. Each person will run 1 heat, 10 laps each, and is guarenteed at least one feature. "C" features will be 15 laps, "B" features will be 20 laps and the "A" Main Feature will be 30 laps. The wetness for the first night will be at 65% for heats and will drop 10% for each feature. Season finale race (race 12) track has not yet been finalized, but will be a 99 lap "A" main, for double points. If two or more DNF's occur in one race, their order will be scored by laps completed, and if the same number of laps were completed, then the lowest race time will decided the tie. NRL II Season Points will be awarded as follows: ("C" and "B" points are awarded to non-transfer spots only, and the first non-transfer spot gets 1st place points etc.)
Common courtesy We realize that everyone will not make every race, but if you ask to join this league and we accept, we do expect you to try hard to make most of them. If you can't make a race please let us know as soon as possible.
Section C: Racing Ettiquite The tracks we will be running now have an efficient outside line to run. This now means the guys running the bottom are no longer guarenteed a clear lane all the way to the wall as they exit the corners like they were before. Bottom runners will now have the obligation to make sure no one is moving to the outside of them to make a pass. If there is no one there then it is your track, but if someone is there you need to leave a lane. On the other side if you are running the outside and attempting a pass, you should do your best to do it in the corners where there is a lot of space between the two lines. Running both lines such as going across the bottom on corner enrty and sliding out to the cushion in the middle of the turn, like one would do when pulling a slide job is only acceptable if there is not a car running the outside, or if the slidejob is clean, meaning you slide up in front of the guy on the outside not into him. Also starting into the turn high, and cutting down across the track to the bottom is acceptable only if there is not a car running the bottom. Once two cars begin to go for the same line, the car crossing from one lane to the other should be the one to yeild to the car running only one lane. In other words if I am going in high and coming out low, and you are running low, we exit a turn and make contact on the bottom, I would be at fault, because I am the one not staying in one lane.
